Studio companion for painters: sample colors from reference images, get approximate paint-mixing recipes, build your color library, generate palettes.
How accurate are the mix recipes? They’re honest approximations, not lab formulas. Paint mixing depends on pigment brand, opacity, medium, surface, lighting, and paint type. Use each recipe as a starting point and adjust on your palette. The confidence badge tells you how solid the starting point is — vivid neons beyond real pigment gamuts are flagged low confidence.
Recipes suggest paints I don’t own. Open More → My Paints and switch off anything missing from your shelf. Recipes will only use pigments you own and will suggest substitutions for the rest.
A web image link won’t load. Many sites block direct image loading. Take a screenshot of the reference and upload it instead — you can keep the original link with it in the Inspiration tab.
How do I sample precisely? Pinch to zoom in first, then drag slowly — the loupe magnifies the pixels under your finger. Lift to lock in the sample.
Where is my data stored? Entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all data. There is no account and no cloud sync in this version.
Can I export a palette? Open a palette and tap “Copy All HEX Values” — paste anywhere.
